Coldkeep

Privacy policy

What Coldkeep collects, what it doesn't, and how analytics and outbound links work. Last reviewed October 9, 2026.

Coldkeep is a static informational website, and we collect as little as possible. This policy explains what that means in practice. It was last reviewed on October 9, 2026; if it changes materially, we will update the date here.

What we collect

We do not require you to create an account or log in to read anything on this site. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful; the next section sets out what it records and the choices you have. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability, as almost all websites do. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply.

Analytics

The analytics service is Google Analytics 4, run by Google LLC and Google Ireland Ltd. It shows us the pages viewed, the referring site, an approximate location (city or country only), device and browser type, and session timing. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalisation are disabled for Coldkeep, the data is not used for advertising, and it is not sold.

Google Analytics uses two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_<ID>, with a lifetime of up to two years, and they are set only after analytics is allowed. For visitors in Europe (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland — identified by the time zone their device reports), a banner asks for permission first, and nothing is sent to Google unless Accept is clicked. Visitors elsewhere have analytics on by default and can switch it off at any time. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out. Your decision is stored in your browser's local storage under the key analytics-consent, not in a cookie.

You can change your analytics choice at any time from this link, which reopens the banner. Google describes its own practices in its privacy policy, and its Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks Analytics in your browser on every site.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our email updates, we store the address you give us solely to send those updates, and every email includes an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or rent your email address.

Some outbound links to manufacturers are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination or its affiliate network may set a cookie so that, if you buy, the sale is credited to us. That cookie is controlled by the manufacturer or network, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies. You can see how this works, and why it never influences our rankings, in our affiliate disclosure.

What we never ask for

We will never ask for your recovery phrase, private keys, device PIN, or the login to any exchange or wallet — there is no legitimate reason for any website to want them, and Coldkeep never will. Please do not send us that information, ever.

Your choices

You can switch analytics off and still read every page, unsubscribe from email at any time, and ask us what data we hold about you or to delete it. To make any such request, contact us and we will help.
